Interstate/Local Clients:
Expect Castle Rock Moving and Storage to require a physical survey of your home. We will need to inventory your items and note logistic needs that will affect your move. These surveys average about 1 hour in duration. You will not be charged for this time. This survey is necessary for us to generate an accurate estimate as well as inform our clients of what to be prepared for when reviewing and comparing estimates.
Common Pitfalls:
Never base your moving vendor choice on the low-price of the estimate alone. Local moves are billed based on time and material. Interstate moves are based on weight and distance.
A telephone estimate is a shot in the dark guess. Take the time to have one of our sales staff properly view your location - its free
Share your estimates with the various companies that you interview. Ask why they may be different? Do laws allow them to be bound to the quote?
Ask about valuation - it is not insurance. With regards to your items, the moving industry is not governed by insurance law, but valuation law.
Verify that your moving vendor choices are certified and insured providers of moving services in your state. The industry is regarded as for-hire. You may be liable if the company you hire does not have adequate licensing and protection and causes an injury or accident even if it is to their own employees.

Castle Rock Moving & Storage offers pack and load services to our Oregon consumers. As a registered pack and load service provider, we will pack and load a transportation source that you provide. This takes away the stresses of packing and moving your heavy items while saving money by allowing you to provide and drive your own moving truck.
